The Intercept Hardware CTF 2025!

Posted on 28 April 2025 (0)

Back for 2025! The Intercept is a hardware Capture the Flag (CTF) event focused on testing your skills in hardware hacking, reverse engineering, networking, programming, anti-tamper technologies, and more!

DerpyCorp presents the latest in their line of excellent, highly secure products: the bagHODLr Crypto Wallet! The bagHODLr is the latest in cutting edge technology to securely store your crypto secrets. Don’t get taken in by cyber thieves, protect your secrets with the bagHODLr TODAY!

This year’s contest includes challenges related to reverse engineering, hardware hacking, and hardware fault injection attacks. Normally we would let you flounder in a sea of your own despair, clutching at 10 point Discord flags, but this year we recommend bringing the following equipment:

  • Probes and jumpers
  • Fault Injection tools
  • Oscilloscope
  • Logic Analyzer
  • Power supply

How to Play

Contest starts at 10:00 AM on Saturday in the Hardware Hacking Village. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE FOR THIS CONTEST!

If you are looking for a team to join or friends to make a new team, you can find others interested in our #theintercept channel on our Discord server.

Get your Ham license at LayerOne 2025!

Posted on 13 April 2025 (0)

Are you lonely?
Need someone to talk to?
Do discussions about volts, amps, watts, ohms, and high voltage excite you?
Are you a social outcast without a hope of ever finding companionship?

If you answered yes to all of these questions, you are probably already a ham. If you answered no to any of them, you probably aren’t a ham….but we can fix that!

Come ruin your social life the right way by taking the amateur radio exams at LayerOne! If you’re looking to upgrade (read: become even more uncool and/or lose your significant other) we can handle that for any amateur radio license class, too!

Sign up at THIS LINK! Testing takes place on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 18:00 Pacific time in the Lockpicking Village. If you have any questions, head over to our #ham-radio channel on Discord!
