Enjoyed most of the talks, despite the lack of Internet access. You might want to require future speakers to refrain from spreading disinformation. The XSS speaker, MS’ Don Ankney, was overly superficial for most of the audience and outright incorrect when comparing Java/JSP to PHP and Perl as being difficult to refactor. No surprise that a Microsoft employee would promote .NET as the solution to XSS, but spreading disinformation about competing (and IMO superior) technology like JSP was wholly inappropriate.

Sorry you disagree with my assesment, but the classic JSP style is similar to the PHP 3/4, Perl CGI, and classic ASP code in that it’s difficult to implement the pattern I was suggesting.
Java itself isn’t problematic — there are frameworks that do fit the pattern (such as Netbeans). Ruby/Rails, Python/Django, and PHP5/cake/codeigniter (etc) all fit the pattern as well.
I was simply pointing out that my solution difficult to implement in frameworks that focus on the presentation layer.
And just as a reminder, this wan’t a Microsoft talk — this represented efforts on my own time and in non-Microsoft languages. In case you didn’t notice, I presented using Keynote, not Powerpoint, using a Mac, and my demo code was PHP. I think it’s pretty clear I wasn’t there to sell anything.
